Dr. Alvan Field

In Memoriam

Dr. Alvan Field, the founder of Beachwood Dental Arts, established his practice in 1961 and for over 50 years, he actively treated patients. Later, he supervised the treatment and general management of his beloved practice.

Dr. Field passed away in November of 2011, but the principles and direction he instilled over the years lives within the doctors and support staff. Our patients can feel his presence and influence to this day. Over four generations of satisfied patients have been cared for at Beachwood Dental Arts. Dr. Field was educated at Colby in Maine and received his dental degree at Temple University in Philadelphia. Long after he stopped treating patients, he was always greeting the patients at the door and welcoming new patients to the practice.

Dr. Field was very proud of his fine reputation and the beautiful smiles he created and lives he changed over the years. He carefully selected the dentists who now carry on his tradition; providing the finest quality dentistry with personalized attention in a comfortable environment and with affordable fees. The expressions of respect and love shared by his patients, his co-workers, and associates were deeply felt because he treated them all as an extended family. He has seven children and nine grandchildren.
